You know how when Ariel makes a bargain with Ursula to get legs and she writes her name on the official document to seal the deal but then seems to forget that she can just write who she is to Eric. What if the merfolk actually have a different language and writing system so even if she did write down who she was Eric wouldn't be able to read it, cause also why would the merfolk speak and write the same language as people they dislike and sometimes fear (or possibly speak and write in an ancient language from before they limited/cut contact with the surface). We can only read the contract and understand for convenience sake. And the reason why she can understand Eric is possibly because due to her time going to the surface and staying hidden while listening to humans talking and learned a basic understanding. Or the spell allowed her to understand what he is saying but not the writing system.

I was on youtube and found someone from 2011 had posted a video of a early 2000 trailer of Inuyasha were the animation was more in line with the manga, which I wouldn't have minded though we would have ended up with a chibi faced Sesshomaru and pink fire rat outfit Inuyasha and a Kagome who's hair looked way more like Kikyo or rather like it did in the first few volumes of the manga but was blue eyed.

Here is an interesting thought what if the entire Yashahime story is in fact a made up story that Rin is telling Kin'u and Gyokuto to keep them calm and occupied while everyone deals with Root Head, basically after Sango leaves to help Miroku and Inuyasha and Kagome Rin starts telling the girls a made up story about the half demon daughters of Sesshomaru and their journey to fight a great evil. This would explain why many of the demons in the series are the same (reused demons that the Inu gang had defeated) as in Inuyasha just with different names (because I bet the gang during the three years told Rin stories of the year long adventure for the Shikon jewel and fight against Naraku). That would defiantly explain why the girls who are only a little over a decade old are seemingly defeating/destroying the far older and powerful Perils/underlings of Kirinmaru and why the girls are so strong because they are the hero's in the story Rin is telling (plus they are Sesshomaru's daughters and Rin is a fan of Sesshomaru so she would naturally think of his kids being very strong to) and explains why the Inu-tachi barely appear, because they aren't the main characters in the story but pretend made up daughters of Sesshomaru and the made up daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. I mean it would sort of explain why the mother of the twins has not been revealed (Rin is 11 so likely has no interest in saying who the mother is) and why Moroha seems to be just a side kick and has both demonic and spiritual powers and why Kikyo's image is used a physical representation for the tree of ages (since I think Rin met her once) and since Rin is only aware of Inuyasha's night of weakness she would this as the basis.

So basically in the last episode after the girls defeat what may be revealed as the true villain (Treekyo/Tree of Ages probably due to root heads contamination) and everyone is celebrating we will hear Rin's voice declare that they all went to live happily with their families or something similar and it is revealed to be the first episode and during the root head fight and Rin is finishing telling the story to the girls.

There is a theory placed by Axelbeats on youtube that the 4 eyed owl is very important and that it is possible that Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, Sango and Rin got sealed away in the Rainbow pearls. Inuyasha in the red, Sesshomaru in the silver, Rin in the yellow and in the others Kagome in the green, Miroku in the blue, Sango in the purple and Shippo in the orange.

I think that is what happened that for the last 10 years in the anime all of them have been trapped/sealed into the pearls by a evil youkai possibly that owl demon and since Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are in the trailer that means they probably in the next few episodes (2 or 3 or 4) will accidentally get unsealed and the rest of the series is trying to locate the 4 other pearls to free the others.

So the basic plot would be that the gang is sealed away in the pearls and I think that since Inuyasha and Sesshomaru appear in the trailer that means they will get accidentally unsealed (since if Inuyasha is likely in the red pearl and Sesshomaru is likely in the silver pearl) in possibly the next few episodes (next 2 or 3 or 4) and the rest of the series is them trying to find the other 4 pearls that everyone is sealed away in and figure out how to unseal them and defeat that owl demon (I don't mention Rin because she does not appear in the trailer so I would guess she remains sealed away until the last episode). Bonus note I am willing to bet Miroku's pearl is hidden in his son's eye and Sango in either one of their daughters or in Kohaku, Shippo's pearl could possibly be in Kirara and as for Kagome hers could very possibly in the future maybe with Souta or his daughter or who knows maybe trapped in the tree of ages (which happens to be the new residence of the root head demon) and that is why that picture showed Inuyasha looking at a tree.

I decided to try to figure out the timeline of Inuyasha so I started off using Kagome's birthday as listed as April 30, 1982 and she had just turned 15 when she was pulled through the well so that puts the beginning date April 30, 1997. As for the feudal era I am going with the 1540s because Oda Nobunaga is mentioned so I am going with 1549. So I looked up the dates of the New Moon for 1549 which are May 26, June 25, July 24, Aug 22, Sep 21, Oct 20, (Nov 19, Dec 19, Jan 17, 1550) and Feb 16. Now I also looked up the dates for the high school exams in Japan and Feb 24 pops up so that puts the Final Act episode 18 at the end as that date and April 10 for high school entrance ceremony also School semester begins in April and ends in March, High School graduation is in March. Now I found a problem that has been really overlooked since 3 years past that means Kagome is 18 but because of the high school thing (is 3 years long) it means that Kagome was very likely a month and a half away from turning 19 so she actually left 2001 to go to 1554. I looked up which episodes/movie of Inuyasha corresponded with the New Moon Episode 13, 44, 57, 58, 66, 67, Movie 2, 162, and 179(12) And so came up with what is below.

Inuyasha timeline

Ep 1-167 takes 6 months, 4 months get skipped over going to Final act.

Episode 1-4 April 30- May 2, 1997/1549

Episode 5-13 May 3-26

Episode 14-44 May 26-June 25

Episode 45-54, Movie 1 55-58, June 25-July 24

Episode 59-67 July 25-Aug 22

Episode 68-95, Movie 2 Aug 23-Sep 21

Episode 96-162, Movie 3 Sep 22-Oct 20

Episode 163-167 Oct 21-Nov

Time Jump skipping all of November, December, most of January

Movie 4 October

(Final Act #) 3 month period

Episode 168(1)-179(12) later half of January-February 16, 1998/1550

Episode 180(13)-185(18) February 16-February 24

Episode 186(19)-1/2 of 193(26) February 24-April 10/12, 1998/1550

Episode 193(26) 2nd Week of March 2001/1554
